Positivity and Trust

I've said it before and will say it again and again.  I live for friends.  And we all do it, I know.  But I relish these moments so deeply and I will always treasure the trust placed in me by others.  It simply deserves acknowledgment.

I have to thank my friend for being so honest and open with me tonight.  She shared with me some things that aren't so easy to talk about and I just wish I could say something to help.  I suppose I can take a part of her burden and ponder it, but ultimately it is up to her to cope with that piece.  It's not something I intend to dig up every time we meet.  But, wow -- I am listening.

It's a little scary-awesome how quickly I've gained such a great friend.  I have often thought that friendship earned so quickly can also be taken away just as fast, but that is a frustrating and pessimistic concept that I choose to prove wrong.  It's refreshing to meet someone you can instantly align with.  We are learning much about each other, similarities and differences, but no matter what -- we will understand each other.  We've been completely transparent with each other from the outset and it has led to nothing but an amazing experience.

And I know, even when we are thoroughly content with flipping through the pages of each other's autobiographies, we'll be just as satisfied to share new experiences together and grow as people.  I have much to learn from this friend.

And all of my other friends, as well.  We each offer something unique and genuine to each other.  And I appreciate that, very much.  I will do my best to honor you... with blog posts that nobody will read.

Love,
Paul Gregory Chakerian
